The Reading Passport: Books set in British Columbia

British Columbia is the westernmost of all Canadian provinces. The province is home to the world's largest totem pole located in Alert Bay, the world's longest and highest lift in the Peak 2 Peak Gondola in Whistler, and the world's largest hockey stick in Duncan. It also holds a record for the wettest place in Canada, since the city of Prince Rupert sees 240 days of rain, on average, every year. British Columbia has some quirks: the Great International World Championship Bathtub Race is held in Nanaimo every July, and the province is famous for icewine (a dessert wine made by pressing frozen grapes). One of the native of British Columbia, Pamela Anderson, was famous from the moment she came into the world, becoming Canada'a Centennial Baby for being the first child that was born on the 100th celebration of Canada Day.

Like the views from the Sea to Sky Highway in British Columbia, I hope the list that follows is as assorted as the province's landscape.
